Career Enhancement Programs

Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) has implemented various programs towards enhancing the skills and knowledge of the automotive industry workforce, for both current employees and new entrances into the workplace.

The programs were guided by four main pillars, namely; creating new employment opportunities, enhancing career development, generating new entrepreneurs, and growing current businesses; all geared towards enhancing the competitiveness of the local automotive industry.

In creating new employment opportunities, key human capital development programs were introduced for new engineering graduates and school leavers. On-the-job trainings are coordinated for graduate students for their exposure and preparation towards working life in a popularly attended program named “Automotive Industry Certification Engineering (AICE)”.

“Industry Led Professional Certificate (IPC)” is a similar program to AICE, tailored for school leavers from vocational and technical institutions. MAI cooperates with relevant industries to prepare the trained students and open opportunity for employment in the automotive sector.

Customized AICE and IPC were also conducted for the currently employed workforce to enhance career development in their respective fields. Apart from opening employment opportunities and career enhancement, the programs also expose participants to business practices and opportunities in the automotive sector.
